(Warwick, RI 09/17/2015) – Andrew Liss RFC®, Investment Advisor Representative at Independence Financial Partners and a board member of the Jewish Seniors Agency of Rhode Island, helped host an end-of-summer cookout at the Phyllis Siperstein Tamarisk Assisted Living Residence in Warwick. Attendees, including board members as well as guests, enjoyed a buffet served on the patio on a late summer evening.
The cook-out took place after the organization’s quarterly board meeting, and was in part a celebration of the newly formed Leadership Development Task Force, a group that’s been two years in the making, explained Liss. “I was thrilled about the large turn-out for the barbecue,” he said. “The Leadership Development Task Force will play a critical role in achieving the goals of the Jewish Seniors Agency and raising awareness about Jewish seniors in need in Rhode Island.”
The mission of the Jewish Seniors Agency is to ensure access to a full continuum of care for Jewish seniors in the greater Rhode Island area. Volunteers and staff members operate and support an ambitious network of programs and facilities including:
- To Life Center Adult Day Services
- JERI (Jewish Eldercare of Rhode Island) Outreach Program
- Shalom Apartments
- The Phyllis Siperstein Tamarisk Assisted Living Residence
- Renaissance Memory Support Program at Tamarisk
